Red Cedar Turned Lamp Bases
Bring the art of wood turning into your home with our Red Cedar turned lamp bases with copper shades. Like all of our products, we hand craft these in our shop and can customize anything about the lamp to suite your needs.
Mainly, we work with Red Cedar, however we also work with different varieties of Maple along with Black Walnut. These are sanded, smoothed then lacquered to preserve the natural beauty of the wood. Copper Lamp Shade
The shades for turned lamp bases are different than our other slab and log based lamps. The shades we put on our turned bases are pyramid shaped, with a second tier. The second tier has a stained glass crescent moon inlay on all four sides.
What you see in our internet shop is just the standard copper shade design we offer, the dragon fly design. However, like the bases we can customize the design for you. Standard Turned Lamp Sizes:
- Small – Total height is 14 to 16 inches tall; copper shade width is 12 inches square sitting on a lamp base that is 4 to 6 inches in diameter.
- Medium – Total height is 20 to 24 inches tall; copper shade width is 14 inches square sitting on a lamp base that is 6 to 10 inches in diameter.
- Large – Total height is 28 to 31 inches tall; copper shade width is 16 inches square sitting on a lamp base that is 6 to 10 inches in diameter.
